Hey folks, just an idea...with the new un-named movie coming out, I remember the last time its predecessor came out, the vampire/werewolf hype was enormous. Why not try to jump on the bandwagon and recruit some young blood into the game? Most of the mechanics are already in place, and graphics. I have a few proposals and we just have to come up with some Lycanthropy spells and buff Necromancy. Would be fun to test stuff like this on TC1! I really liked Shard of the Dead, wish I had more time to play with it. I doubt these ideas will be very balanced, but hey, it might generate some more interest in the game.
Pack abilities for players: Encourage partying in groups for increased benefits:
-Werewolf: +1 player = +5 DCI
-Vampire: +1 player = +5 HCI
Vampiric Embrace: Remains the same
True Form: Drains all Life to cast (requires 120 necro)
1.) Same abilities as Vampiric Embrace but only from dusk til dawn, must be in VE to cast, auto dispel upon dawn
2.) Add Blood Drinker to innate ability (all life lost from target opponent from a bleed attack is regained as life for the Vampire)
3.) HP Regen penalty of -10
4.) Increased strength and agility with str/dex caps of 175 while in form
5.) Cannot cast spells with Garlic, any previous spells with garlic must be deactivated prior to True Form casting (ie. Protection)
6.) Spiritspeak costs no mana when draining life from a dead body
7.) Access to new spells:
Bat Form: 20 mana
While in True Form, can cast to gain mounted speeds while on foot but cannot use specials nor cast spells.
Mesmerize: 10 mana cost
Breaks off combat with targeted opponent.
Casting delay 0.5s
Max range: 5 tiles
Animate Dead: (same mana cost)
-Can resurrect a dead Vampire in addition to its other abilities
Lycanthropy Abilities:
Werewolf form: (requires 120 Ninjitsu) and must be bitten by NPC/monster werewolf
1.) While in wolf form, will automatically transform into Werewolf upon dusk (6pm) and return to normal at dawn (6am) using graphic from old Bloody Sash event...make it bigger
2.) While in form, unable to use weapon skills, can use Wrestling only (I suggest changing name to Unarmed Combat) and special moves
3.) Can ran at mounted speeds while on foot
4.) Can be used in conjunction with Bracers of Alchemical Devastation for Hit Fireball
5.) HP Regen 25
6.) Cannot use Necromancy while in Werewolf form
7.) Casting penalty of FC-2 for all other casting abilities: Chiv/Spellweaving/Mysticism/Magery/Ninjitsu/Bushido while in Werewolf form
8.) Berserk gargoyle racial ability always active
9.) Can use Tekagi (change to wrestling weapon)
Blood-curdling Howl: Consumes all HP/Stam/Mana
Increase str and dex to 250 (no bonus HP boost) for duration: dusk til dawn
DCI penalty -45%
Leap Attack: 20 mana cost
Similar to teleport spell, but with a 0.5s charge timer, target opponent to leap to position and strike with normal attack, normal hit/def chances apply
Max range 10.
Specials cannot be toggled while leaping.
Add Wolf slayer property, imbueable, increased damage to werewolves of 125%
Vampires prone to Undead Slayer with increased damage of 125%
