Blizzard announced their new recruit-a-friend a couple days ago and people have been hitting the floodgates on getting in with the program and gaining that triple experience with their friends and having a gran ol' time.
However, it appears hunters pets have been left out of the loop on the triple experience. While your hunter is happily leveling at triple-speed, your pet will be falling behind in the levels.
This has always been somewhat of a problem for hunters though as pets never gained double experience from rested XP either. Hopefully Blizzard gets this fixed soon for those who are wanting to level hunters with their new friends. Will keep you up to date as soon as we know more.
