Best way for a newbee to get these:

Fight Lizardmen and hoarde 160k spined leather (and then a further 110k spined leather for the primer)

OR

Fight Earth Ellies - for cash and gems and pray someone on your shard sells them for 2 or 3m

Which will get you to the reward the quickest....

I would say the first method, if you do that in fel you may get PK'd but the double resources will half the time.

Use a bag of sending to save your hordes and you should have it fairly soon.

Leather gathering is probably the fastest. Though, I'd go for the T2A Lighthouse wyvern, if one does the hunting in Trammel - horned is worth twice as much, and spawn is so quick that, without a BWC, you often don't get a chance to harvest the leather before the next one is on you. If you go to Fel, then Wyvern Island is a good bet (multiple wyverns), provided someone else isn't there to take offense. A dragon or reptile slayer Radiant scimitar does wonders in crowds of wyverns (whirlwind attack), and only requires the weapon & tactics skill (so non-sams can do it cheaply). Also consider running around Oaks Spawn in Ilshenar, and picking up leather. Many people collect the scales from the Serpentine Dragon (for the more harder to complete Animal Trainer library collection upstairs), and leave the barbed leather on the ground.

Next easiest would be mining. With a fire beetle, you can go out and get 10-15k points per mining trip, without having to use a BoS or pack animal - more if you use gargoyle pickaxes. after all, successfully smelted, the 25 ore from a valorite elemental is equal to 1950 points (50 ingots * 39), plus 39 more from the ingots you get from the vein. Similarly, a combat miner with a repond slayer could mine the bottom level of the orc mines, while killing orc brutes for 25 Shadow ore each (and one doesn't need a fire beetle, as there is a forge in the center of the brute room).

Of all the library reward givers, the Trades representative is the one no one should EVER have to use gold with. It's just too easy to get leathers and ingots.

I'd try the first method. if you do it in an anti virtue dungeon (destard if I remember right) you can get chances for virtue armor drops as you collect your leather.

I've never seen one on my shard (Atlantic) for any where near 2 million.

You can do it in destard, the spawn rate in fel is massive(due to the champ spawn) but you run the risk...high risk of being Pk'd.

I would suggest doing it in fel despise first level(take the stairs up upon entry). Even though it is almost as active a dungeon as destard...probably more, Pk's dont tend to use the main entrance(prefering the sparkles from fire) and do not often check the 1st level.

I generally farmed spined in fel despise exclusively... in months, I have yet to come across a single soul, much less a red. Don't take anything of value that you could lose, and make sure anything important is insured, and you have nothing to fear but a little fame loss.
