[Discussion] Rare vanishing from pack?

Has this happened to anyone recently? I had my pure vulcanite essence in my backpack inside of another pack with all of my rares that I have for sale. Tonight when I opened bag the essence was gone and nowhere to be found. I haven't been in fel, I have no thieves in my guild, but I am out about a billion gold on one of my favorite items in game.

There are certain items that sometimes do that, the most common one is the recipe for serpentwine book, but I've never heard of that happening to the vulcanite essence

Other than that, only way it could have happened is if someone in your guild took it, or you just put it somewhere else and forgot about it.
