rare serpent eggs

is there a way to increase your chances of getting a rare serpent egg?
does having the musicianship skill help at all?
does it matter if the flute you are using is exceptional?
seems like both of those should help but do they?

oh and does it matter if you use the big snakes or the little snakes?

I don't get any better results with the red corals, but for me at least, they seem to move a lot faster than the rest of the snakes. Might not be better, but it makes me feel better.

how about putting giant serpents in my chicken coop to get eggs can i do that?

Ok I think I missed this but what are these eggs and where do you get them and can they be hatched like the chicken lizard eggs?

They are keys to enter medusa`s lair ,timered and no they cannot be hatched .You find them where all the snakes spawn below the renouned lich spawn.Use a snake charmer flute on a snake send it to a nest.Want better results use multiple flutes ,avoid the timer

I unwittingly had a race where I brought the flute and my friend didn't.

I thought bringing the flutes was self explanatory...

Anyhow, I got 3 eggs to every 1 that they got.

But that's only in two cases of collecting 4 medusa's worth of eggs. (I collected 12, he collected 4) So the numbers could indicate that I just got really lucky.

I have had days where I couldn't pull an egg to save my life. Then I have had times where I hit an egg about every 3-4 nests. Same character, same outfit, just different days.


And an FYI. Using the flute does not break hiding/stealth. So my I use my Mystic/Thief to egg hunt, hidden and stealthing the entire time.
