Raising stealing

Sorry but i didn't found no really worked way
I have toi raise stealing ( for Doom) but i don't know how to do this.
I have 50, now
I've tryed with a pack horse and some heavy items on it but skill doesn't raise at all.
Please. help me

Are you still in Fel?
And don't stop with the Doom arties, if that is what you are after. There will be many brave adventurers challenging Doom as well, all weighed down with goodies preventing them from running away from Dark Fathers. Assist them, by lightening their packs a little while you are there.

Another thing...it's better to have high dex or not? My thief is also a mage. Then i'd like to raise more int then magery. Can i to this?
Or dex affect steling, hide and stealth?

Dex does not have any effect.

For gaining:
50 skill = 5 stones
60 skill = 6 stones
70 skill = 7 stones
etc.
120 steal you max at 12 stones.

Dex has some affect on your detect hidden, not stealing.

I believe its your dex+detect vs there stealth+int.

Stats do not play a role.

Detect hidden uses: (Detect) / (Hiding)

Tracking uses : (Tracking + Detect Hidden + Random 1-20) / (Hiding + Stealth) * 50

Detect hidden helps with tracking though. And stealth helps with not getting tracked.

Go ahead and raise your magery if you like. Rico uses swords of properity, I believe, and I am training up magery to use with a staff of the magi I got.
You cant do any specials with them, but sometimes you don't need any.

I'm going to be a bit controversial here but i always found:
45-55 = 4 stones
55-65 = 5 stones
and so on to work a bit better
