Raising parrying

Equip a 1h wep of a melee skill you have 0 skill in. Go to the Yew farms, get in a pen, go into War mode, attack all of the sheep in the pen, then toggle out of war mode. They whack on you, you don't whack back, but you gain parry. I'd suggest 70 phys resist, and some healing.

I second the sheep training method. Takes about 6 to 8 hours to 120. :)

Further note...keep the melee skill at 0, do not set it to raise.

Dang I tried that, but I just went into peace mode with my real weapon skill. Nothing. I'll give it a shot again with a diff weapon.

Disarm the female fighters in Jhelom pits and get about 25+ on you and bring a ton of bucklers or a two handed weapon that you don't have skill in if you have bushido. They won't deal damage to you so do this naked to prevent your armor from being broken :D.

Btw if you start at 0 you'll get bugged at 25 skill and will be stuck there till you wear a piece of equipment that brings up your parry any amount then gain .1 or more and you should be unbugged.

You got to keep an eye on those sheep. They redlined me twice already, but I'm gaining at 115.7 right now so it's cool.

Buy necro up to 40 aswell and go into horific beast form and the HPR will stop you redlining or needing to heal ;)

I use the harpies in the den near Oaks in Illsh.

But you need more preparation, self repair physical suits and probably a designated healer. Remember if your bush is 75 to 80 you MAY need a two handed weap in which your are not proficient. If your bush is over 80 you will definitely need a two handed weap with which you are not proficient.

Using this method, at less than 400 ttl skill points and no dci will absolutely skyrocket your gains.

If your healer is a mystic, stone harpies may be slept, otherwise you may need to help them find a temporary home.

Protip for training with sheep: Sit on an armoured swampie (dull copper works best) and the swampie will absorb ALL the damage so you won't need any HPR or healing :)

chernysh, are you holding a one handed weapon and shield? Make sure you are locked at 0 in the weapon skill corresponding to what you are holding. Gain in wrestling after parry is done.

I usually use dog form to offset the damage dealt by sheep, but the horrific beast sounds more efficient.

Also, to get more than 10 sheep hitting you at once: I have a tamer on one account tame 5 , bring them to my house, release them. On my other acct I stand under the house sign. I remove them one at a time and aggro them. You can get alot more than normal and it speeds up the process more.

Note: Be very careful.. sheep bite for 1 dmg. I had 100 on me one time when I just wanted to see how many I could get.

I was naked, and I was insta killed by sheep.
