Raising Ninjitus

I am at 50.1 and it wont budge. I am casting animal form (frog and or Serpent). I am hoping that I can continue to cast animal form for skill gain.

Should I be casting something else or anything like that?

Can't seem to get the skill to budge using animal form. If this is the case it will be very hard to get to gm. I do not plan on using it for muc other than changing into a wolf. I am building a werewolf character for rp purposes...

Casting "mirrior image" now for a bit has yielded .2 so I am at 50.3.

Still look for input here or is it just this slow at this point. I cannot gain anything from casting animal form at this level so far from what I have been macroing.

I think you better off with training with shadow jump and back stab at this point.

Best would be to get it to 85 skill with jewelry and train with death strike.

Thanks though I do not have skills to perform those moves. I am only using the skill so that I can change into wolf form so i am limited on how I raise the skill.

Its moving very slow using mirror image as of right now.

Heres the question and concern...

I am not gaining skill in Ninjitsu when doing Animal Form and turning into a frog or snake. Those are the hardest that I can attempt that this point with 56 skill points.

Can you not gain skill off animal form? Is it just slower skill gain? The reason why I ask this is because I do not have stealth in order to gain skill. I am simply trying to raise the skill in order to change into a wolf for some rp reasons.

Any further help would be great!

You won't gain with animal form any more. Although it requires higher skill to do the higher form.

My thiefs don't have fighting skills but i did manage them to get to 100 Ninjitsu. What i did was gave them a mana leech weapon and fight them easy monsters/animals like sheep and deathwatch beetle hatcchlings so i could perform death strike on them to make them gain skill.

Okay, I am at nearly 60 skill. I've read that you can get to 60 with mirror image its slow but it works.

I wont have the skill stealth so how will I raise ninjitsu most effectively? Dumb question, but since I don't have UO open in front of me at the moment and ninjitsu being new to me, will I need to be stealthed to perform death strike?

For death strike you only need a weapon


If you don't have alot of mana, either make a good suit with jewelry to move it up alot or use a high mana leech weapon.

You will get only to 57.5 with mirror image. Your best bet from there is shadow jump. Just raise hiding and stealth to 60-70 and trian on Jumps. Jumps will take you to 87.5. From there only Death Strikes, as Frarc stated.

You could use soul stones to switch some skills around and work up the skill on a warrior type template, then switch back to your RP template.
