The King’s Man
As I sit here, watching the children busy at their assorted tasks. I wonder where has the time gone. Seems only yesterday I struggled to survive in a vile, hostile, and deadly world. One completely new to me. I wasn’t impressed at all with the strange new world I found myself in when I awoke on some random beach. With no idea what so ever as to how I’d come to be there, where I was, or even in fact who I was. I had nothing but my wits, such as they are, on which to rely for survival.Yet here I sit now, admiring the youth at their busy work. Mostly small household duties such as fetching the days fire wood or perhaps tending the livestock or the fields that provide the food for family dinner tables. Rushing about working fast as they can to steal some down time. Time to go practice hunting in the woods with their friends or swimming down at the river. Seems many of the young fellas around here have been discovering maybe not all the young ladies really have fleas after all. Youth will do as it always has I suppose. Be young. Nothing wrong with that mayhap I’m just jealous a bit, as I rub my old beat up knees.
Seems all in all I survived whatever this land could throw at me. Fact is I grew to love the world I found myself in. It’s been an interesting life filled with adventures and wonders that boggle the mind and yet leave me with the feeling that in no way could I have lived better, stronger, or more fulfilling than the way that I have done. It would seem that stories and songs of my many adventures have found their way across much of Sosaria. In fact The Royal House of all Sosaria recently entertained a bard telling of such adventures through stories and song.
So regaled by the tales were the royal family that they “offered” the bard to stay there several weeks as their honored guest to relate these tales to them one each day. All of the castle would gather after the evening meal to hear these amazing stories and songs about the great King Clan and its many colorful friends. Always clamoring for more it was a terrible sadness for the great ruler and all of his subjects when after several weeks the bard simply ran out of stories and songs relating to the King Clan and its many famous heroes.
Turns out the king has decided to be interested in our adventures and has send word for me to come to his castle in the city of Britain and recount my adventures there to be recorded by his own royal scribes and, so not be lost to history forever, reproduced and sent to all major libraries in Sosaria... ----TO BE CONTINUED----Keenan- no clue where u turn things in for R.A.S. thing ,was thinking it said here just put R.A.S. at the top...If I did it wrong sorry 12/30/2013
