Can't link it because it was on the old Stratics forums but after that feedback poll on RoT, Jeremy said they were reviewing the Siege RoT system and that changes might come within 2 publishes from the next scheduled, which we have since had, so it might actually be this year.

Hopefully. But they have said "might" far too often for me to take that seriously. If they say in 2 publishes, well then ok. But "might" doesn't mean much. One of them also said well before this more recent statement that they would like to see more people on Siege and a ROT change might be something to consider. So let's hope they actually do something this time.
Though right now I'm willing to wait for them to do it right. I'll be the first to say Siege's population sucks and it's a dying shard and we need changes asap. But if those changes are going to be crappy, it's better to wait and risk Siege getting worse imo. I'm greatly concerned over what exactly the ROT change will be. We may have made progress in that now the majority seems to be for a ROT change where before the majority were opposed to it, but we are not united in how much it should be changed. And while those who suggest a minor change to ROT may not be in the majority, they're still enough to influence the devs. A minor change to ROT is a worthless, wasted change. And if we have to wait 4 publishes for them to do a major change to ROT instead of waiting 1-2 publishes for us to be stuck with some crappy minor tweak, I think it's better to wait. This community needs to unite and ask for the same thing. When some of us are still (unfortunately) saying no change to ROT, some of us are saying a big change to ROT, and some of us are saying a small change to ROT, well...that's just all the more chance that the devs don't do it right or don't do it at all. And if they don't do it right, there's no point in them doing it at all.
