Ok al tough this hasn't happened in quite sometime but yet again i am forced to competely redo my chars (all) macro's, what spells i had on screen, my colors everything because for somereason UO servers thinks it's funny to restart you....untill

I got a hair up my butt and went and looked at c/programs/ea/9th
aniversary and in that is a folder called desk top.In that folder was my user name twice one had my original settings the other was a fresh one that i didn't want, so i said to my self i'll just delete the one i don't want and every thing will be ok...logged back in and nope every things still messed up....went back to that folder and low and behold the folders back:coco:hmmmm i thought what the hect(yeah right i was cussing) the only fix was to copy and paste the original into the new folder that kept being created... logged in every things back to normal....bad thing is i can't delete the old original or it will be messed up again...now i have to keep both folders in order forit to work???!!!??? ok thats off my chest

Actually all your setting are saved on your own computer. The servers for uo have nothing to do with your setup. If they did then when you install uo on a new computer or reinstall uo then the settings would remain but they don't. Basically something happened on your end.

If your having trouble with macro's disappearing on you this happens frequently when you accidently put a space after your account name.... doing this will totally mess up your macro's.... if you just retype in the account name and be sure there is NO space after it... everything should be fine. (If that's what happened) this also happens if you put a space at the end of your password...

Good luck

it is def annoying
this has happened to me many times over the yrs
i found an easy way around it tho i havent researched why it works
i simply keep a copy of my 'desktop' in a seperate folder and when my icons and macros vanish, i just copy and paste the spare one i keep in reserve back into my uo directory and my macros and icons etc are back as they should be
hope this helps

Some players are aware of that "Norton 09" causes issues on UO client. Don't you use Norton 09?
