So I bought a 6 months game code.
Paid with CC like always, got the confirmation email like always:
Your code has been applied to your account.
Instructions:
1. Go to Account Management.
2. Click on the "Edit Acct" link under Modify An Account.
3. Login with the user name and password associated with your UO account.
4. Click on the Game Time button.
5. Verify that the Game Time code was applied.
6. That’s it! You are set to play Ultima Online for another 180-days.
7. Should you need assistance, technical support is available 24 hours a day at Find Answers
...
Here is your Ultima Online™ 6 Month Game Time™ Code
XXX-xxxx-XXXX <--- This being the actual code!
Well, apparently it was not applied automatically like in the years past... so I did it myself manually and everything is set now.

But... in the past years I never got the actual code in my hands, it was always auto-applied to the account I used to sign in at uogamecodes.
Is this new or a glitch in the system?
Does this mean I can now actually buy a real code from uogamecodes usable for a different account or even for a friend who has no CC of his own?

I was able to apply a code bought on that site on a second account whilst logged into my first account.

So unless they change that, yes you can.

Yes the 6 month code has to be entered manually which means it can be applied to any acct.

The 90 day code if it hasn't been changed, credits directly to the acct that you log in with.

It did three months ago anyway.

I went with the 6 month code a few days ago and got an incomplete e-mail (not EA's fault, my e-mail program messed up several e-mails from various places) and I didn't see any code so I was scratching my head big time when my acct got suspended. I figured it auto credited like the 90 day deal.

I was wrong :)

We were both 'wrong' in making the assumption it would work like it used to - however, I bet you also got the confirmation email worded as mine was :

"Thanks for your order.

Your Order ID is: UOGC-101106-*********. Please keep this ID number for future reference.
The amount of $59.99, under "VTI*EA ULTIMA ONLINE" will be posted on your credit card.

Your code has been applied to your account."

Misleading hardly begins to describe it.....

What they fired the code that applied the code to the account?
:p

I have a suspicion the code as written to go with the 3 month codes still works as it used to, but it isn't integrated with the 'newly added to UOGamecodes' 6 month codes.... maybe they fired the person who knew how it worked? ;)

Too funny, 24/7 Do It Yourself. If you submit a question after registration, it could be days before answered

I have an inactive account that I would like to reactivate.

But I am still not able to buy a 6 months game time code. When I hit submit after having entered my user/password , the page just gets reloaded without error message.

Do you need to have an active account to buy a 6 months code?

When adding a 3 month code to my cart, I am able to checkout, but not with the 6 month code.

Cal forwarded my issue to the vendor 3 weeks ago, but nothing happend...

For those people that were able to buy a code, did you have an active account?

Thanks alot.

My acct was still active when I bought the 6 month code.

I still had two days of credit left on my previous 90 day code when I bought it.

It wasn't until the third day when my acct was closed that I realized the 6 month code was not auto credited.

I just bought a 6 month code for my other acct (I thought I'd have to let it expire until after winter but I prevailed :)) and now that my e-mail is working properly there was a code waiting for me in my inbox.

If your acct is already expired you might want to try the 90 day code.

The price isn't as nice as the 6 month code but if it still works as it always has it will auto apply to your acct even if it's expired.
