Quick Residential house question.

I've just had my residential property merged into EA-Land from IH, YAY!!!, but I was wondering if anyone could answer me a little question.
I know that now on residential lots we all have maxed out skills etc but my query is regarding my Mystic Trees.
If I eat my fruit on my residential lot will I still get a skill point from it or will the trees have no effect while on a residential property?

You could always change your lot category - if you are a paid subscriber.
