Quick recipe question:

I'm training Fletching on a character, but intend to change it over to my crafter (when I can decide what to alter in his skills to fit it in), but this question applies to any crafting, really.

If you use a recipe for a particular item, and then remove that particular crafting skill from a character, and then at some point decide to switch it back to them or raise it again from scratch, will that character still know that recipe or will I have to reacquire the recipe?

It was just a random thought that popped into my head while making bows.

Thanks in advance for any information.

I've been wondering the same thing, though I think I read somewhere that you lose the recipe if you drop the skill. I'll test this theory later tonight when my soulstones come up, if no one can confirm this before then. I learned two alchemy recipes on my crafter and stoned the skill off to another character last week.

I ve stoned my fletching a few times. While I dont have many recipes I have always been able to craft things again upon redeeming the skill. (As far as I can recall :) ).
Just to be sure go to the test shard and create a char with 100.0 ,eat a scroll , attempt to make something and fail. Then add the skill back and retry.
Hope that helps.

Recipes stay with the character at all times, when used, at least in previous testing. IF you stone off the skill, it had no effect on the recipe, and did not transfer to different characters. I don't know if this would apply if one was doing a character transfer though, and the skill was stoned off before transfer.
