1. What are the best quest in the game, also being new I've heard of a quest to do a dungeon run but do not know what it is.

2. How do you make gold in game? This is something I've always struggled with.

3. Working on skills, do most just focus on one skill or more than one skill at a time?

4. So I don't feel so bad, is it normal to have lost items/rares in the course of the years you've played?

5. If you use EC to you use an add on?

6. How many hit points do you have?

These questions have kinda been on my mind and I would be most thankful for answers :)

1. What are the best quest in the game
UO doesn't depend on assigned quests all that much, mostly just stuff you decide to do - spawns you tackle, bosses you go after, whatever.
But if by best quest, you mean the mission with the highest reward, then killing Medusa in the Abyss for Slither, the most valuable item in regular game play that I can think of. But the chances of getting a Slither are about zero, so is that really the best quest? Not for me. The best quests for you depends entirely on your template, your skill level, if you're playing solo in a group, how long you want to spend killing a boss, how much time and energy you want to expend

also being new I've heard of a quest to do a dungeon run but do not know what it is.
Not sure what that means. Talking about the sacred quest to get into the Abyss? Check uoguide.com

2. How do you make gold in game? This is something I've always struggled with.

Depends entirely on your play style - group or solo, fighter or crafter, collector or trader, regular play or EM Events - and how much gold you need to keep you happy.
Type this into Google and look for links to recent Stratics discussions on it - "ultima online best way to make gold"
You'll probably read about EM events and IDOCs, if you can stand either of them

3. Working on skills, do most just focus on one skill or more than one skill at a time?

If a fighter, all at once by fighting (unless chivalry, then easiest to macro spells) or parry (easiest to let sheep hit you if you want quicker raises).
If mage or mystic, easier to macro a single spell that has a 50 percent success chance at your skill level, then macro a harder spell when you quit gaining on that one

4. So I don't feel so bad, is it normal to have lost items/rares in the course of the years you've played?

Well, I've quit and lost everything twice. That's why I'm not a billionaire now (also because I spend too much time doing stuff that doesn't make much gold)

5. If you use EC to you use an add on?
Pinco's, as long as it keeps working - http://www.guain.it/pincoUI/

1. Are you training up a new character? If so the new haven training quest are great. I think the dungeon quest you are speaking of is the one that allows you into the abyss. Not to hard, but good to have back up.

2. I make most of my gold by selling resources such as leathers, ingots and wood. My other alts like to hunt in shame, do the ilsh champ spawns and just go kill stuff.

3. I always try to train related skills at the same time. For example when I trained lumberjack, I also trained fletching and carpentry.

4. If you don't lose something, you aren't playing. ;) I've lost a pair of shadow leggings because I forgot to insure them and didn't go back to get my body. Lost 8 years of uncompleted bods, all my high level ore from 8 years and other stuff by forgetting to lock them down :(

5. I don't use an add on when I use EC, However Pinoc's add on is wonderful and really adds on to the ec client. You can find more info under resources

6. Since I only run the player center and reports on events, I only have 110 hit points. I know most people probably have more.

hope this helps. The most important thing I do, is just have fun.

1: I like the trade quests myself. They're mindless and almost relaxing to do but you never know what you're going to get.

2: I never had luck selling items but I could always turn a fortune selling resources. Mining and hide gathering are good. Bods are always good too.

3: one

4: yup

5:CC only

6: max

1. What are the best quest in the game, also being new I've heard of a quest to do a dungeon run but do not know what it is.

I like two of the the Ter Mur quests. The one for the Ancient Translated Tomb and the one where you gave to turn in pottery fragments. Both give you big gems and a bunch of small gems. The big gems are good for crafting and the little to, or you can just sell the little for gold. The quests in the Elf Tree are great for crafting and fighting. It gives you something gain extra for fighting. Though hopping back and forth might be an inconvenience till you gain enough magery to recall or sacred journey.

There are a ton listed here, just have to find the ones you'll enjoy doing over and over.

http://www.uoguide.com/List_of_Quests

These are the older ones. Some(all?) can only be done once per character.

2. How do you make gold in game? This is something I've always struggled with.

I find something I can kill easily without having to heal to much. Empty your backpack accept for the essentials so you can carry as much as you can. A bag of sending can be used to send gold to the bank, but making a trip to the bank is just as fruitful. If you die, the monsters like to take the bag. Any container for that matter!

3. Working on skills, do most just focus on one skill or more than one skill at a time?

There are groups that go together. Pick the hardest one (to do physically) and the others will go up with it.

Fighting skill - Tactics, Anatomy.
Healing - Anatomy.
Peacing - Music

It is up to you if you want to sit in town and just gain skill, or go out and fight and gain skill and get gold while doing it. Some like to gain all their skill before Actually "playing UO". You learn more by gaining while playing.

4. So I don't feel so bad, is it normal to have lost items/rares in the course of the years you've played?

I lost a whole tower full of things I kicked myself in the butt for years since then over it. You'll always feel bad. LOL

5. If you use EC to you use an add on?

I tried to use Pinco's but it is beyond me for fighting but I do use it while crafting. I still use the classic client and use UOAssist 99.9% of the time.

6. How many hit points do you have?

It depends on the character.

Mage/Thief/Stealther - 109
Archer/Bard - 136
Chiv Warrior - 136 (hmm!)
Tamer/Bard - 110
Spellweaving/Mage/Stealther 102 yikes! Mana is 202 though.

Trade Quests to me are the best. Not only do you get resources for building a crafter... and if you don't want to build a crafter you can sell them or throw them in the trash for clean up points... but you also get sellable items like the house signs and books and SoT's. And if you are lucky they are SoT's you can use or ones that sell REALLY well like Taming, Spellweaving, Magery, Mysticism, Discord and Imbuing etc...

I personally LOVE doing them. If I don't want to risk the open water ones I just travel to the nearest moongate. But most the time it's good for working up your skills as you are traveling and it's rewarding. IMO.
