Questions about Obsidian Statues(from quest)

Not sure if this is the right place to ask or not...but here goes.

I've done the Obsidian statue quest enough times that I have about 15 statues I obtained on my own. I havent gotten any repeat statues so far. Question is this...If a person completes collection completely on their own (not buying or trading any) will you keep getting different ones, eventually getting the 3 rare statues? Or, is it possible that you can get the same statue many times, lessening your chances of completing the collection the hard way(quest after quest)?

Also, has anyone ever actually completed this collection by solely doing quests? Would be amazed to hear that...

I've only done the quest a few times, but I have had repeats. However, its been a few years since the last time I did one.

Hmmm, thats kinda disheartening, considering how many runs you have to do before even completing one. Guess I was hoping someone has actually gotten the rarer statues by doing quest, not buying them. Thanks for letting me know

I've gotten mine down to the Treacherous Scoundrel on the normal named ones and Keeper of Truth and Patron of Courage (believe those are the correct names) on the rarer ones. And I can say from experience that you will get duplicates on some names. Doesn't seem like there is really anything other than RL luck on getting the rare ones, as I probably went through around 75-100 statues (I think, been some years ago) when one iwth my character name popped up in my pack.

I always liked those statues and wondered about them. Where do u do the quest for those?

If you go to any rune library they will have all the locations mapped out for you. Called the Elwood McCarrin quest. It starts with Elwood in New Haven, its a chain quest.

You ge one obsidian piece from the collectos quest and you need to combine ten of them to get one random statue. If there were a virtue like patience, this probably would be the task to raise it.
