Questions about mining and blackrock

I have been mining alot lately because I need mindless uo stuff to do and is there any type of talisman that raises mining or a powerscroll I'm unaware of? Cause I lose some much high difficulty ore smelting it sucks real bad. Also I have about 40 pieces of blackrock is there any need for blackrock these days since the shadowlords are gone?

There are gloves that give 5 mining, that push you to 105 max. But 105 is the highest you can possibly get I believe. And as far as I know blackrock has no current use other than to cast armageddon and blackrock infect your character and surrounding creatures.

Smelt smaller piles of ore. More clicks but you end up with more ingots.
