Questions about Legends Shard

Hi everyone,

I am a soon to be new player to UO and since i have not yet decided on with Shard to play i wanted to know the impressions of the player that play on this Shard about the fellowing subjects.

1. Play style preference (PvE/PvM or PvP or RP) ?

2. If it is PvP, does it seem to be organised PvP (guild vs guild/Duel/Faction "war") or does it seem to be Pker attacking anyone in sight just because they feel like it?

3. Does it seem there are many thief ?

4. Server population ?

5. Is it hard to find a spot to build a house ?

zerg on zerg is the pvp style here.
I've yet to see a thief on legends.
server population is low
not hard to find space for a large home.

I saw a lot of Pie vs Pie action the other day.

There is a great deal of room for housing.
Legends is a small population shard, but our population is active.
I don't really think the thief class is a viable class any longer since the creation of trammel.

4. Thieves aren't too plentiful, you can steal pretty much anything, without all the competition you get from other shards.


3. PvM is strong, guilds and alliances work the ilsh spawns like crazy, except when events (ToT) is happening.


2. Server population is low, this is both good and bad. Makes for more housing, less crowded/camped hunting spots. Sometimes hard to find a vet for a pet rez tho.

To answer the original post...its a great shard, good people which makes just about anything fun. Lots of room for housing too.

A perfectly honest assessment should include that it is difficult to obtain basic necessities on this shard. The pvp consists of 2 zerg guilds. There are a few less than friendly pvm guilds but things seems to be fine if you play solo don't want to interact too much with the rude types that are pervasive.

I find bringing your own group of friends here works best.

I don't play this shard but love to tune in to see crazy at it's best.

Welcome! Keep your eye's here on the boards and come meet all of us at the events that go on. Most every one is willing to help ya out with just about anything (no i will not share my Rotgut wine don't ask!). If you need a spot to place a house just let any of us IDOC'ers know and we will keep an eye out of a spot!

since moving over from a far far more crowded shard about 2 years ago I would say this is a nice place to start. Most people are very friendly and helpful and I have thoroughly enjoyed my legends adventure.

If you start in New Haven there are usually people there who are very helpful to new UO gamers. I know when I moved over, even though not a "young" character I was greeted very warmly. Thank you Legends Shard players it's been fun. I've actually got some others to come this way and them have said nothing but good things as well.

I tend to see Legands as a friendlier shard left over from the time where it was an AOL only shard where most folks were kind and nice, Yes our population may be lower but that in itself can offer many advantages. If that is not enought to convince you there is one single godly word that will. Magecruella!!!! Who could live without her in their UO life?
