Question

Just a quick question. Apparently searching for irk is too short of a search string to return decent results. So I am 13 of 14 attempts on DH. No problems there. I usually use my bard to get keys. I decided to use my samp to try and get keys and then do dread. Spite no problem, guile no problem, spiders no problem. Irk, problem. Running a regular samp setup 130 hp 178 stam 56 mana. I read his resistances so I tried two different leaf blades both hml 68 hsl 52 hld 44 hla 44 one 90% cold one 100% fire. I got owned. I couldn't seem to leech any mana even with chugging pots I was unable to really gain any ground. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Are you doing the kind of damage you'd expect to see leeches from? I'd hope at least 100+ with honor. Could it just be mana vamping you?

I haven't killed one in a long time, least of all with a dexxer, not sure why you would if you have a bard, but perhaps try AI instead see if it helps.

Working that myself lately. GM resist helps a lot. Honor is a must and then i run in with some healing and a bladed staff. All in vamp form. Could not image putting anything out of those. But you might had just bad luck as it usually isnt much different too guile/spite.

Try to get a real weapon that do does damage. I suggest you a Lajatang. 100% elemental damage is a must. I prefer 100% Fire Arachnid slayer so I could use it against those spiders too. Use Honor and EOO.

p.s. If you don't have enough stamina for 1.25s with a Lajatang then drink a dex potion.

I don't know does Undead slayer increase your damage against changelings when they copy your vamp form.

Thanks for the input. Crafted a 100% fire arachnid two handed spear. Toggle between counter strike and evasion, while AI'ing as mana would allow. Much easier time.

Just an aside there seems to be zero medusa scales for sale on Atl, if anyone has some to sell it would be greatly appreciated.
