Question regarding Character transfers...

Is it possible to load up pack horses with items and transfer them with items in their pack as part of the character transfer process?

For example I buy 5 pack horses and load them each up with 125 items. So I have 625 items on my controlled pets. Do they transfer along with the items on my paperdoll,bankbox and backpack?

Yes

Just make sure you're standing near them at the time of the transfer.

Always check the transfer crate and verify what exactly the game thinks is going to transfer with you. If you don't see everything cancel and check why.

If the packies aren't bonded then remember to not recall to another city after transferring before unloading them, because they will not recall with you and most likely will run around looking for you. Guildmate lost a packy full of things because they transferred and then after grabbing their items that were on their body and pack they recalled to Luna to meet someone. The unbonded packy full of items didn't recall with them, and eventhough we ran around the town he transferred too, we weren't able to find the packy. Paged the GM and all they said was to log out and back in (everyone but the GM knew that wouldn't work because the packy wasn't bonded and was full of items), when the packy didn't appear after logging back in, the GM suggested waiting until the next day and if it doesn't appear then to page again. By that time, the packy had most likely gotten killed.

once you xfer and arrive at your new location - learned this the hard way - your packies won't be with you physically until you opt to collect them from the transfer crate that you access by clicking your body.

if you already have a house on your destination shard, or your friend does, i'd highly recommend getting yourself to that house first, and then click your body to open your xfer crate and collect your packies. that way they won't die as you try to walk them through the treacherous woods on your way to your destination like i did...
