Question (probably more specifically for Messanna)

so a couple months back we all submitted our 'old houses' to you guys and we where graced with a real nice banner out front of our houses to show that we are part of the UO historical site group.

just wondering how that is going?

are they all done?

if not what is the % of them that are?

i wonder cause i was the 3rd house submitted and i still dont have one.
yet my guild mate who submitted like 3 or 4 a week after me has had his for months now, accross multiple shards.... and his one place is a screen from mine.

so i guess im wondering if this got back shelfed due to the pubs and such or if this was done and some places got missed... or maybe this is just a side job (fetish) that they where working on in their down time.

just wondering.

Mesanna is placing the banner's herself and I think doing alittle on each shard. Problay didn't expect there is so many of us or the houses out there so taking longer to do along with all the other billions of things she does. It will take sometime.

The responses have been more than I expected but 99% of them are done. Petra has done a great job on collecting the emails and sending them to me. If I have missed your email or your house I am sorry just send me a quick email and I will make sure it gets done. This is an ongoing program, or I would like for it to be. Any house that stands for 10 years deserves to be recognized. So please send you entries to Petra and she will make sure I get them..

I will tally the final total and give you guys an idea of how many houses we actually have in the Historical society if your interested.

No sadly none of my homes qualify either. My Theatre would but few years ago I expanded it to make it 2x the size.... still sits in the original spot but it's much larger now.

Most my other homes I just keep moving.

On a side note, I still live in the same location where I placed my first home back in Jan 1998. But like many others here, the house itself has been replaced, transferred and resized many times over.

What are the requirements, how do you know if your house quals or anything... Seesh.. Wouldn't matter because you guys only tailor to your inner circle as can be seen everywhere.....
In fact who cares.... I am canning my accounts and going back to D3... Peace out have fun with your player base of 5 when enough peeps get fed up with it... /peaceout

So what happens when one of these banner'd houses falls? Does the banner automatically disappear? Or does it stay behind and block house placement? Or does it not block house placement, thus allowing someone else to place a house there and claim credit for a house age they don't have?

Think Petra it is more along the lines. Sitting down to play UO should not require ingame information to be had from out game sites. There is just some information that should be posted on a billboard at Luna bank, Shouted by a crier or be on the patch window. One great wrong that happened not to long ago is the dyed dragon barding. How many wasted dye charges or bought dyed barding without reading stratics. A purple swampy was a huge game changer, till it wore off and another needed to be made. The Luna Fairgrounds should have a billboard for information on the next EM run event games info. Even a Newstand NPC should have the weeks newsworthy information for that shard. Hot topics that are beyond needing to get on CHAT to get information about. Just a newsboy NPC with a lay of books on a table to be read or copied. Then new and past few weeks are there. Those that don't restart the game often don't even get the patch windows weak information output. Many need to know things are not even on the patch window.
