Question on Taming or Mystic PVM

Hey all, I have a few questions on Taming, and I hope some of you nice vets can answer.

1- Is tamer better pvm then Mytsic using RC? I have a mystic now and O enjoy him but being on foor always to cast RC and recasting every 30 Secs is a pain lol So I was wondering what are the pros and cons to a tamer as opposed to a Mystic.

2- As far as a tamer template goes should I put in or can I put in Hide and stealth? Is that better for pvm as opposed to casting invis? If so what is a good tamer temp?

I would say each template has its pro's and con's. I have both, and I can tell you that for me personally I play my mystic more than my tamer.

It sounds like your mystic is human or elf. I highly recommend a race change token when you have the funds to become a gargoyle. A primary advantage a gargoyle mystic (or tamer) will have is the ability to move at mounted speed while flying and controlling a 5 slot summons or pet (RC/Greater Dragon).

I have noticed several folks talk about hiding on their template. Personally I have never used hiding on my mystic or tamer... I prefer more offensive capabilities to hiding. My tamer has music and discord while my mystic has spellweaving.

100 Discord (+20 on suit)

I run a mystic/mage/spellweaving/tamer as a gargoyle. With jewels it is 120 mystic/120taming/120lore/115magery(holding mage weapon)/120focus/120spellweaving with the left over points in med. I can switch from using RCs or my greater and stone on vet if needed.

I started as an elf too... but just got so tired of walking that I made the switch. It has its own set of drawbacks like not being able to mount your pet and move at speed, but when the heat is on and movement speed counts I am always glad I have wings!

I will seriously consider this. I was also thinking how I would no longer be able to raise honor by jumping on a cu with succubi and then switching to my charger, but a flying gargoyle with a gd might even be easier. What else? No bank sitting showing off my dread mare - don't do that anyway, and I don't have a blaze cu to bank sit on.

I am running a mystic/weaver/mage *with* hiding and stealth. You dont need to have GM hiding or stealth. I prefer GM hiding and 70 stealth. My magery is only at 107 because i only need level 7 spells (flamestrike) to get down 100%. Besides eval int, focus and mystic are at 120 (by using some skill bracelet and this nice crystalline ring with +20 focus and +20 mysticsm).

The stealth parts really brings you everywhere! You can play hide and seek with a Stygian Dragon for hours and he will not stop looking stupid

Another nice effect is that you can double hide. Cast invi, sart moving, get revealed, use hiding skill, keep moving. Needs really bad luck to get caught with this setup.
