unless I am mistaken, hit cgance increase, and hit lower defense, amounts to the same thing? The only differance would be in the percentage, but the actual outcome would amount to the same thing, correct? Hit chance increase = same, hit lower defense = -25 defense chance increase, so hit lower defense = hit chance increase of 25? Or is there something here I am missing?

In addition- does bushido lightning strike add any extra damage? The stratics entry says just hit chance increase, but I have been told otherwise- was wondering what the current truth might be.

hit chance increase is capped at 45%

hit lower defense is a state that lowers an opponent's defense by 25%. It lasts for a short period of time.

I guess it's the same thing... if you had a weapon with hld 100% and it was a 1 on 1 fight.
