Once upon a time, an unintended feature appeared in the game that allowed Faction guilds and non-Faction guilds to be allied.
This change, though unintended, caused few if any issues, and was viewed positively. So they left it in.
A modification was made to the unintended feature a few publishes ago, to fix a very particular exploit about which they gave few details.
This change was that a guild that was already allied could not join Factions. However, Draconi stated clearly and unambiguously that their intent was to allow guilds that were already in Factions to allow non-Faction alliances.
In other words, a Faction guild could still join an alliance, but an allied guild could not join Factions.
Ok....Got that?
However, the fix was bugged, and a Faction guild could not be in an alliance whatsoever, unless they were already in one before the fix.
So the question is.....Is this still true? Can a Faction guild still not join an alliance with non-Faction guilds?
