Question on faction ranking

Did some searching and reading, but still couldn't quite understand it.. How is it calculated? As I understand it it is kind of dynamic, somehow calculated across all faction member, it is correct? Where can one check the current ranking?

You can check your current rank by going to the stone inside the base. There is an option to check current rank. As far as figuring out how many points you need to be a certain rank, that can be difficult on the larger shards where there are multiple guilds, but the fastest way is to ask various guildmates about their score then see if they are wearing higher ranked items. The factions with fewer people and lower scores can sometimes wear level 9 items with just a couple points. You can check the scores at the UO website http://town.uo.com/factions/.
