Question on Axem Quest

On my first quest I've accepted with Axem, the quest states:

"I have been so busy trying to figure out the meaning of the pottery fragments you brought me..."


My question is, why is he mentioning pottery fragments I've brought him when I haven't brought him any? Did a quest get skipped somehow? This is the first and only quest I've taken from him.

He has confused you with some other human who brought him 10 pottery fragments as a differnt quest. He is an academic, and easily muddled.

He offers 3 repeatable quests. None of them have any precursors. The wording is probably just that way since they expect you to do the quests many times over.
