Seeing how this is a Friday and we should all be yelling “TGIF!!!” I am going with a lighter question today. I know I look forward to reading what you post when I get home from work today. I hope all of you have wonderful stories to share with everyone else.

Today’s question is what is the funniest thing or things you have seen in game?

My funniest thing was when they introduced Trammel and allowed players over there to explore the new lands to help look for bugs before they opened it up for housing. I was on the road outside of Vesper when I saw a stone wall on the road. What got me was this wall meandered past me mooing. It’s not every day that you see a moving and mooing wall so I wanted to know more. Was this a new creature they had come up with just for Trammel? I mean in AD&D there was a monster that mimicked dungeon walls and surprise attacked you. Maybe this was like that? How tough would it be? If it killed me how could I face my guild knowing a wall kicked my rear end? I scrolled over and clicked on it to see what its title was, and it was titled as a cow. Well I was sure then this qualified as a bug so I paged a GM to report this. I think I wrote something like, “A Mooing wall just walked past me and is listed as a cow.”

I think that is the fastest I ever got a response from game support. It came back as something along the lines of, “You are reporting a moving wall?” I typed back “yes I am reporting a bug of a stone wall that is walking up the road showing the title of a cow.” Whoever was on the other end then sent me this, “You haven’t been drinking and are not kidding are you?” By this time I was following the Mooing wall just to see what would happen to it. So I answered to the fact I was not drinking nor was I kidding about it. That’s when they told me to stay near the wall so they could see what was going on. I was at that point pondering if I should kill the wall to see what kind of loot it would have on it? Bricks most likely, but I followed it like they requested me to instead.

I could almost picture people at the UO offices all gathered around a computer watching some poor player follow the wall down the road, laughing like crazy. It was not that long before the cow/wall disappeared though and I got a message thanking me for reporting it, and that they hoped I got a screenshot of it before they removed it. That’s when I was kicking myself for not thinking of that before it disappeared, but that was the funniest thing I saw in game. To this day I don’t know if it was a artwork glitch, or a very bored Dev messing with a player for laughs. I do know I will never forget that stone wall going past me on the road mooing away.

Funniest thing I ever saw was 7 years ago or so when the guild I was in got very bored one day. We wanted to do something fun and unique. A member shouted out "Lets go kill a anceint wyrm!" Mind you this was back when killing on was quite the feat for 10 mages.

But it simply wasn't unique enough. Then some other member shouted, "lets do it with no armor and all wearing pink!!!" This girls of the guild screamed with joy and the men grumbled. After much coaxing of the male members I got on my tailor and crafter us all HOT pink clothes and off we went, the 15 of us to kill and/or confuse a ancient wyrm. After a crazy bloody confusing 5 mins or so, all 15 of us littered the floor with pink bodies EVERYWHERE. It was like carpet. But it was so funny I'll never forget it.

After a stunned few seconds I just "lol" and recalled away.

The great Virtue cheese spawn of 1998 on Napa.

So we were getting our little player run village "blessed," when IGM Twilight asked of us, "Is there anything that simply must go in the decorations?

One of our regulars immediately screamed out "CHEESE!"

Within a few seconds, the ground was nearly covered with not-locked-down cheeses.

Recently:
In the second day of the Moonglow portion of the event, there were a few of us somewhat adeptly avoiding the spawn in order to insult the Blackrock machine. Before the night was out, it turned into an all out pun-war between about 4 of us, only stopping the ill humor in order to res the occasional passerby.

Um...for me it was more weird than funny I suppose. I too kick myself for not grabbing a screenshot =-(

In a nutshell: I had 6 control slots out of five in use...yep. I had a reptalon out, a frenzied ostard and a faction warhorse (faction warhorses only need one slot).

I explain: I was in Felucia battling daemons with my reptalon. I then decided to go get my Faction warhorse and see what kind of damage I could do with him. Not being able to actually ride the warhorse (faction players know what I'm talkin' about) I also decided to take along my frenzied ostard to ride. So...I recalled to Umbra stables, put away my reptalon, got out my ostard and warhorse then opened a moongate (dragging my warhorse with me) when I popped out on the other side I was riding my frenzied ostard, had my warhorse and my reptalon standing next to me. I checked my characters control slots which read: 6/5 I tried the "All follow me" command but it angered both my horse and my reptalon. So, I recalled back to Umbra stables, logged and re-entered the game quickly stabling my reptalon. I've never been able to duplicate this and yeah...I still kick myself for not taking a screenshot. Has anyone else ever had anything like this happen?

I made it myself... rotflmao

In the old days a guy in my guild wanted to train parry, so another guy was going to heal him with bandages and they asked me to cast blade spirits...
First one went ok, but the sencond was too fast and too furious for them... They run, BS followed, it poisoned them, they screamed like little girls running in circles and eventually died. I could cast BS but could not cast dispell - either for lack of skill or because I was laughing so hard...

The night I wiped out half my guild singlehandedly... oh yes.

And of course I did not have enough magery skill to res them.

Logging out with my tamer and re-logging with my bard only to see my tamer still sitting there...they are both on the same account. After a few seconds of stunned silence, I did manage to grab a screenie.
