Morning world! Sometimes its nice to just sleep in you know what I mean? Today we cover a subject that has divided the UP players from the beginning.. PVP.

Do you PVP? Are you a casual PVPer or hardcore? Should PVP be changed to make it more guild oriented or should they leave it as it is where you can kill anyone you want in Fel? Should there be a PVP switch and would that ruin PVP? Do some players who claim to PVP really PK those who are weaker then them, or kill characters that are not setup for PVP?

Please I do not want to hear about how Tram should of never been introduced I want to hear what you feel about PVP on Catskills.

Do I pvp, Somewhat
Casual :blushing:
Leave it as it is,you got to gamble if you want double resources, or do the champ spawns IMO:D
No switch it would be abused;)
Well the last question,Whether you are weak or not setup for pvp, thats the risk, you know where you are going and you get warned by many, So to be forewarned is to forearmed:shots::beer::D

I agree it should be left alone. in fel its risk vs. reward. dont go there if you dont want to get pk'ed. on the flip side though anyone that wants to learn to pvp i would suggest trying to get with a pvp guild and learn from them how to fight and survive, and what gear and templates are best used. there is a certain guild on cats that has a bad rep for pk'ing and whatnot but they are decent people for the most part. not all red chars are the nasties people make them out to be, some can be helpful.

A good rule of thumb before setting foot into fel is to not take anything you cant afford to lose...make sure all your armor/weapons are insured and that you have auto-renew insurance turned on! there have been a few people that have made that mistake and have died once then they didnt have auto-renew on and the second time they died they dropped all their stuff.

Lastly go with a good attitude. if you die laugh it off and dont get pissed off. i know it will be frustrating to die over and over and losing your bandies pots etc. but those are all easily replaced.

I haven't done much PvP since my return last year. What I have done consisted of making sure I don't die before the potential killers either get run off or killed, and then (until very recently) I would always move on to a safer spot, no matter what point in the champ we had attained. Being that I travelled in very small groups, we weren't equipped to handle real raids.

I do, however, like how PvP works. I don't think there should be a switch or anything like that. I do think they need to work on factions, but that's another question entirely.

I'm not a PVP'er. I wasn't my first go-around in UO, and don't plan on doing it this time either. I will admit though, that at one time we had a guild war going (consentual PVP - and that was alot of fun!). But, I do believe it belongs in the game. I think Fel should remain as is. I take my chances going there for double resources - and if I die.... it was my choice to make the risk.

Played VanGuard for awhile, and the "team" PVP concept was alot of fun - you created your character as either "good" or "evil", and the two sides warred against each other. There was no loss of items though.

I pvp when its called for in RP but I don't seek it out as part of my game play. I have all the arties I could ever want, but it doesn't make me good at fighting other players, I lack a killer instinct and the skills to back it up.
