Todays question has to do with a subject that many in the Catskills tamers community have a true passion about.

Part of Publish 53 is that "Zoo Collection points will now decay more slowly" will this change make you more interested in donating tamed creatures to the Zoo? Have you taken part in some of the past drives to keep the Silver Steed at the Catskills Zoo? Do you take pride in Catskills Zoo? What could they also do to this community collection to make it better in your eyes?

As a reporter and tamer too I have covered and taken part in many of the drives to upkeep our Zoo only to see our hard work slip away with the wicked decay rate in a few days. I personally think this will be a great change for the Zoo. At one point the Catskills Zoo was the only one to hit the top level and keep it there for a period of time. It was something we use to have bragging rights about, but many tamers got disgusted with the decay rate and seeing their hard work eaten away so fast. I am hoping this one change will get people involved with the Zoo again.

Greetings!
If they slow the decay rate enough to permit maintaining the level by a reasonable amount of tame/gold donations then I think there will be a change. Those who work to keep it going will now stand a chance of success. SCB members donated many tamed animals and Ally Oop gave millions in gold to help keep the zoo going and many other Friends of the Zoo worked tirelessly but the decay rate was to fast for any group of citizens who have lives outside of the game to deal with.

Ah....the zoo. I have one of the oddest views of the zoo I can think of. As much as I enjoy the zoo, and I'm sure there are many, many players that know what I'm talking about. I actually enjoy the decay rate. For me it allows the zoo to never really become "out of date". Its kind of like a baseball season, we my be the top shard "this week" but then next week we may have a contender. Keeps it interesting. I wouldn't mind a teeny-little additive such as: The Britannia Royal Zoo has reached teir 11 38 times since its opening. That would be short and sweet and yet allow for all the tamers work to be um...well imortalized in-game. And could be a "master score" for our shard.

I kinda like the decay rate right where it is. I know...sounds crazy huh? But there are some here who remember the first decay rate which made filling the zoo quite impossible. Our shard pulled together and I believe swayed the Devs to change the rate of decay to a possible goal.

Personally I believe alot more people would "remember" the zoo if it weren't out in the middle of nowhere. I think being in a more common area it would draw people to look at the levels and the animals, as well as donate. After that, if the rewards changed up some many more people would donate and the decay rate wouldn't need to be changed. Just my opinion :)

I care enough to attend the events that are organized, but that mostly because they're fun. Having the zoo gain a couple of tiers in a night is a good way to show off a successful hunt.

I wouldn't organize a zoo contribution event myself, probably not even if I had the time.
