Question of reforging

How would I go about reforging woodland armor with only 10 damage increase? What tool, options? I'd like to enhance after imbuing and try for 10 DI and 5 HCI same piece.

I'd try with lowest runic:
Powerful Re-Forging
Grand Artifice
Inspired Artifice
Vicious/of Slaughter

You can get 5% hci from reforging and 10% di from enchanting.

Thanks, would I craft an exceptional piece with a normal tool then use reforging on it for the 5 HCI with a runic tool?

Yes.
You must craft an exceptional piece with normal (not runic) tool from normal (not colored) wood with resists you need.
