Ummm...i just noticed something. Rico's 2 houses he placed are right by each other. If you look at both pictures, they're side by side. They could probably have been placed as one house, but i think he wanted to make it look good so he placed 2 instead. I'm just curious where that gravestone behind rico in the first pic went...can you place over gravestones on siege?

The first house was dropped first, so the availability timer on the plot area was earlier. Once I placed the first one, I logged off that account and relogged into my main account.

I saw I didn't have a house placement tool on that character, so I ran to Luna to pick one up. By the time I got back to Yew, there were at least 25 players in the area trying to do the same thing I was...the timer for that plot availablity was about 25 minutes...so I kept trying to drop the new house getting the message that the plot was being resized and not available...then ...*presto*...it was available...I dropped the plot...renamed the house...took a screen shot and then logged out. In the process, condemned my tower...and will be homeless for a few more days. Doubt my current home will be available by the time my 7 day timer on placing is up. No problems though...there are actually a couple of keep spots open right now, so I may upsize...*shrugs*

In regards to placing over the tombstone...at least at that location on Siege, yes, you can place over a tombstone...la

The tombstone thing makes sense. I found a spot to place a house a long time ago that was perfect with the exception of a rock right in the middle. I gave it a shot, and sure enough it placed without a hitch.

There are too many variables that enter into placing a house to be able to say whether or not a particular spot is good or bad. The best bet is to give a good ol' college try.

After going through the other thread I have a question:
Why is Shinobi still here?
Didn't he say he was leaving the forum and never coming back?
What a toolbox...

A better question, why are most of you thieves still here? Haven't the majority of you quit UO years ago? I figured something out...in your logic, i am a newb because i wasn't there for the beginning of UO. However, considering the majority of you quit, i've been a thief longer than you. According to ya'lls logic, the first person to ever play the guitar is the best guitar player of all time.

Green, do you even still play UO? Or are you just sitting here up on your pedastal pretending that your input is actually considered valueable?

P.S. Nah i'm not getting off the forums, i still play UO...i have a reason to post here. The rest of you? Not so sure...

we are still here because we relieve other players of their items on a daily basis... i am not sure about your playstyle, but unless you steal from other players then the UO thief forum is the one you should be posting on.....

Rico and Green were answering questions for me years ago back when i first made a thief and I know for a fact rico still plays not see green about but thet doesn't mean he doesn't still play... most of the posters on this forum are active PvP thieves...

P.P.S. I know what you are going to say. That "it's not about the value of the items, it's about the chase." Well guess what, i enjoy "the chase" as well. So not only am i enjoying "the chase", but i'm also stealing far better stuff than you tools. So how about you just reply with a correction to my grammar or something like you always do. Or better yet, just don't reply at all...la.

No, I don't play this sorry excuse for a game anymore. That doesn't mean I'm going to hang up my gloves and stop posting. I've made many friends here over the years that I would like to stay in contact with. Also, there are many people who value the experience of their predecessors (most new thieves like you excluded).

Haha, well the fact that i say "ya'll" sometimes is about the only logical thing you came up with against me. I'm a new thief? Yeah i've been here for 6 years and own the biggest thief guild in UO, and i've written 5 books on the subject which are being practically mass-produced on multiple shards...but no you're right, i'm a new thief.

Sure i got fed up and said that i quit these forums, but then it hit me. Why? Because people like you can't let go of the past and think you still have the authority to cut-down other players, when you yourself do not play anymore? Sure still post here but don't tell new players that the game is crap and the profession is dead on all shards but Siege, because that is not true. Just because newbs like you gave up, doesn't mean you should encourage new thieves to do the same.

And also, i'm pretty sure you're the newb compared to me. How many years did you PLAY the game? I'm at probably about 6 and a half, maybe 7 total. How about you? Let me guess, 3? 4? Yeah, i'm more experienced in the game than you are because i am STILL PLAYING.

You don't own these forums, you don't even have any business posting on them anymore. There's these new programs to keep in touch with friends, they're called AIM and ICQ. And come to think of it, if you do post on this forum JUST to keep in touch with old friends, then i'm sure you are in the wrong place. This is for UO PvP Thieves, and you are no longer one. So as far as your opinions on gameplay and what it's like to be a thief now, you should have 0 input. However if someone asks about what it was like to be a thief back before insurance, or whenever it was you played, then feel free to answer.
