Question for IDOC guru's -OSI house dropped

So, on Pac, there were 2 Luna houses that were IDOC on Monday. One dropped that day as expected, and the other went OSI owned since it had a vendor or two in it.

Here is the question, Aren't the OSI houses supposed to run thru the entire IDOC cycle again? Then drop.

Because this house was still Slightly worn, about midnight or 1am, last night, then all of a sudden, it dropped and there is a new plot up. I have checked a couple other OSI owned houses on Pac, and they are now at the Somewhat worn stage.

OSI owned houses are supposed to stand until all vendors fall and all inventory is claimed. if all inventory is not claimed the house will fall after 9 days

but I wouldn't be at all surprised if this system did not work as planned, this is UO we are talking about.

keep in mind that Mesanna said the IDOC's would fall "within 5 days"

well, that is not what happened, the IDOC's fell on Monday

that means they fell "within" 6 days, not 5 days.

kind of sad we have to take even official statements with a grain of salt

oh well

Actually, the house will fall after all property of vendor owners is claimed, or their 30 days to claim is up, which-ever comes first.

Their is no way to really tell when an OSI owned house will fall, unless you are the only one that vendors there ;)

I've watched one OSI house for 4 years, it still stands to this day.

That's not due to vendors though. If it has vendors in it then it will state "Pending Demolishion" on the house sign

Most of the ones that just say Owned by OSI were from banned players.

The message I saw implied that players will have 5 days to reactivate their account to save their house. Thus suggesting if you don't reactivate your account by day 5 it will fall the next day, 6, because after reactivating one would need to wait around 24 hours for the house to refresh or until after server down.

From the Playguide at the UOHerald;

"Demolition Pending" Houses

If your house is scheduled to decay but still has contract-vendors with unexpired contracts, the house will list as "Demolition Pending" and not fully decay until 9 days after those contracts expire. Houses with this status cannot be reclaimed, even by reactivating their accounts. These houses remain standing only to allow the contract-vendor owners to reclaim their vended inventory.
Now of course take this as you will. We all know how accurate the Playguide can be sometimes.

It sounds like that house on Pac that the vendors contracts had already expired but that the nine days had not passed yet when the house should have fell. The nine days passed and it fell.

9 days from what the contracts expire.

whose to say if the contract when the contract will expire.

if its set to auto renew and there is gold on the vender to cover the re-up cost then cant they in theory keep the contract going for years?

or are all contracts set to fail if the house goes into IDOC cycle?

Poo: The auto-renew part of contracts is supposed to void when the house is in IDOC, but that doesn't seem to happen every time (possibly, it might be failing for "free" rental vendors).

Well anytime house ownership changes the vendor rental contracts change and have to be reset to auto-renew.

Since the ownership changes to Owned by OSI I would think then that they DO get reset to not renew.

Then once they expire an additional nine days it tacked on to allow some time for the vendor owner to collect their stock and gold.

If they don't collect it it goes into the moving crate or it just drops were the vendor stood, not sure which.

OSI owned houses in Luna are the only ones I ever seen that just go POOF with nothing falling on the ground even with vendors on them and with the sign NOT saying IDOC.

Seen them fall at only Somewhat worn before myself.

owned by OSI houses that drop leaving nothing are from banned accounts, and do so deliberately to eliminate any duped/exploited goods inside.

Of course, in doing so, if the original item was inside, it gets deleted too - which was the fate of the original pair of EM-event sandals that were all the rage before they got truned into normal sandals.

they have 9 or 10 days to claim, not 30.

or if you are a witness to when the last vendor went into the house sign

remember, the OSI owned houses w/ vendors have already decayed and the previous owner does not have access to anything. I'm pretty sure this means if you are the last person to claim inventory you can literally make the house fall on command.

if this is true, I wouldn't worry too much about the decay status of an OSI owned house
