Is it worth it to burn a valrunic hammer while holding a 60 ashh hammer on a low end item like a leafeblad, will the +60 give better buffs on the weapon or will it be the same as just crafting it at 120 bs?

Most career smithies opt to burn verite runics and sell valorite runics to ppl who don't know better.

But, to answer your question directly, Yes, the mods have a chance of being better, regardless of what you craft.

Would you mind explaining this a bit further? How can you get a chance at better mods if you're already at a point where you have 100% Exc chance with, say, a +15 hammer? How does the level of Smithing affect mods? They're just random in type and intensity according to the runic type aren't they?

Nope. Good for low skill blacksmith to get exceptional to 100% Best for enhancing and thats what it's used for.

why would you burn a val hammer on a regular leafblade anyway?
if you're going to kill 20 mil worth of runic charges for a chance at a good weapon, you should at least make an ML recipe craftable.

Survey says? *buzz*

You are 100% incorrect.

All that ASH hammers do is increase your smithy skill level so that you have a higher chance to enhance or to craft new items EX.

If you can currently craft the item 100% of the time EX with your current smith skill - an ASH hammer will NOT affect your runic crafting experience whatsoever.

Dude - if you don't know the answer - don't respond. Spreading nonsense is not helpful.

ASH have no effect on the properties.

Most items can be crafted 100% Exceptional with a held +30 ASH, or use of a held +15 ASH with a good Blacksmithing Exceptional Bonus talisman worn. In fact, there's nothing that a +30 ASH + a talisman can't craft 100% exceptional for a smith, so a +60 ASH should ONLY be used for enhancing (or being held by a carpenter to craft the smith-related item with minimal real skill)
