Would you mind explaining this a bit further? How can you get a chance at better mods if you're already at a point where you have 100% Exc chance with, say, a +15 hammer? How does the level of Smithing affect mods? They're just random in type and intensity according to the runic type aren't they? But, to answer your question directly, Yes, the mods have a chance of being better, regardless of what you craft.

Nope. Good for low skill blacksmith to get exceptional to 100% Best for enhancing and thats what it's used for.Is it worth it to burn a valrunic hammer while holding a 60 ashh hammer on a low end item like a leafeblad, will the +60 give better buffs on the weapon or will it be the same as just crafting it at 120 bs?
Survey says? *buzz*Most career smithies opt to burn verite runics and sell valorite runics to ppl who don't know better.
