I started a lumberjack a while back so I could cheaply supply myself with arrow shafts. After I started getting some of the higher woods I realized that I couldn't turn them into boards (to make them lighter to carry) without carpentry. So I took a break from lumberjacking to work carpentry. I have since GM'd carpentry and went back to chopping wood. Now it occurs to me that I may have GM'd carpentry unnecessarily. The main reason I gave this particular character lumberjacking is because he is also a fletcher. I wanted to be able to make bows of the new woods. Now that I've taken the long way around, here's my question:
If I had just GM lumberjacking and GM fletching, would I be able to craft bows out of the higher woods without carpentry?
