Your choices, that make sense to me, given you have a desire for meditation and it is rather clear why, but you may be able to offset the deficit some what with mana regen items, is to drop either eval or spellweaving.

All things being equal you may be better off dropping spellweaving and keeping the benefits of EvalInt. It would certainly enable Para Taming.

On the other side of this is to drop eval and keep SpellWeaving.

You can model all of this on TC1, with the various set commands and then go out and give it a test run and see the advantages and disadvantages of all the combination's.

I noticed that you seemingly are basing the template on only Real Skills. You may be able to get enough magery and meditation skill items (jewelry) to make meditation work good enough with mana regen items.

Me personally, I would probably be far more willing to drop the SpellWeaving and get as much Meditation and Focus (especially if you are an elf) as you can. Focus, for every 20 points, you get 1 Mana Regen and 2 Stamina Regen.

After Reading Scarab's reply, i see you wanted to know what to lower so....

Magery at 120 vs 100 or 110 or lower with Jewelry to take you back up to 120.

Other Jewelry with Skill mods in, any of the skills you listed will allow you to reduce the real skills and put the points into Meditation.

I can check my Weavers but I do not recall them being higher than 110 made any real / effective difference.

Magery, Meditation and EvalInt are 3 good soft skills to augment with Jewelry.

you can get skill jewels and MR. if you want to know which skills I would drop from 120 to 100 first ... eval and vet. that would give you 40 med. how many points do you want to put into it?

dont matter on points into med. Anything helps. FOr spell weaving i got healing and rez spells to assist me with tameing. DOes this sound like a good template.

Again, I would need to haul out my weavers, but if you do not have ManaRegen bouns's, Meditation and Focus, I would not plan on casting a lot of Spell Weaving Spells, other than that yeah it should work just fine. But I may be confusing / mixing in Necromancer spells as My Weavers are really Mage+Weaver+Necro

Since you're using pets and weaving, you really don't need to cast eighth level spells 100% of the time. You're not going to be casting summons (you have pets) and the weaving spell "essence of wind" is a better area spell than earthquake, anyway. You can easily get away with 100 magery.

At 115 weaving gives you near perfect chance to successfully cast, but it's not an end-all. I only have 105 weaving on a couple of my toons and I still cast WOD pretty reliably. Regardless, 120 weaving is not really needed.

I'd go with something like this:

110 taming
110 lore
110 vet
105 weaving
100 magery (85 real skill +15 from Tome of Lost Knowledge)
100 meditation
100 eval

Obviously, you'll probably wearing skill jewels, which free up more points. You can use the extra points to boost your WOD chance (weaving), magery (rez chance), or spell damage (eval), depending on how you play your toon.

I think that weaver/mage/tamer is the easiest template in the game to play, especially if you like to play solo. It's a great template choice - powerful and versatile.
