does training melee skills on npc fighters not work on siege? I'm at 72.3 fencing and my RoT isnt working. I've been training for 30 min with no gain and I haven't hit my daily cap.

You have to be within 25 points or so of your target to gain. Their melee skills are probably too low for you.

Go slap a stone harpy at chaos gate in ilsh or something for quick gains.

I'm thinking your skill is too high for the ones in Jhelom or others like them. After reaching 50-60ish, I always switched to the ones wearing full plate in Delucia. Look for the group that spawn behind the Delucia bank, but outside the GZ.

fight Ronin's at Homare moongate. I can train with them from 75 to 120.
