Question about Pet Training Progress

Hi.
I just returned UO about two weeks ago.
Now I am training my fire beetle with allosaurus.
My fire beetle's slot is 3 now, and got message "the pet does not appear to train from that"
I wonder my beetle can train with another allosaurus or can't train with whole allosaurus type.
Thanks.
