Question about jack of all trades and spellweaving

One of my chars that is human fails to cast the Attunement spell most of the time with JOAT, whereas another of my human chars cannot fail the spell. Is there another skill that assists with spellweaving?

Spellweaving is a standalone skill. Did the character, which fails casting, complete the spellweaving quest "Learn the Ways"?

both characters have completed the quest in order to cast the spell. There must be another factor affecting the success rate? Both chars are human, both have 0 actual spellweaving yet one will fail a lot and one succeeds 100% of the time.

I'm pretty sure you need 50.0 skill above the min skill required for each spell in the spell-weaving book to cast at 100% success.

You should have roughly a 40% chance to cast anything that requires 0.0 minimum skill with JOAT.

Though, a question about the character that fails more often... Was that character, at one point, an elf?

Are there jewels for Spellweaving? I don't think so.

Wouldn't know. Don't use the skill and don't keep track of skill jewels.

I don't think so, an elf at 0 weaving, can't even cast immolating weapon, but an human with JOAT can cast it
