you would be able to add about 52 points in resists with 500 cap

If you have 118 weight left then you can bring one resist up to maximum for a weight of 100 and 18 weighted intensity left over or multiple resists that total 118. Generally, I try to have 200 weight for resists, but sometimes I will balance the imbues between multiple pieces. This means I may add four higher intensity properties that don't exceed my weight cap on one piece and 100 pts in resist and 300 points of resist on the next piece. Sometimes I do something completely different and imbue the high intensity items and then the resists and enhance them and so 100 was only needed, but enhancing added an additional amount like 8 for bloodwood. I have also done the reverse of that where I will imbue a max resist, enhance and finally add the higher intensity imbues.

The answer to your question is pretty arbitrary depending on your resist needs. If you only need 118 points weight to get your suit complete then it is the perfect amount.

It would be easier to explain or help if you described exactly what you are trying craft. Tell about the materials, what type of armor, and what properties you want to put on the suit. The more descriptive you are the easier someone can answer. What kind of character is the suit for? Don't be afraid.

Usually with two resists per piece you can get all 70's, but there are some processes, materials, and craftable items that may allow you to have a fairly nice suit with one resist imbue.

The 4 mods you want total up to 382, giving you as you mentioned 118 weight left. Increasing PR to 17 (max) with a weight of 100 will be no problem then. When you know in advance you will be imbuing PR choose pieces to imbue that has low resist as base. That way you get more resistspoints in total, as less goes to waste.

Assuming you are making all 6 pieces this way...

You could make 4 of the pieces 7 LMC (which will put you at the 40% cap), and go a little less than maximum resist imbued. the 120% LRC is a bit overkill, too. You could go 3% LRC per piece for more imbuing room as well.

After all, 72 resist (12 per item) imbued plus the base amounts from the armor & material enhanced with should put you at 70+ even with protection.

If this is for a mage with GM inscription, you could even cast reactive armor & magic reflect together (the physical changes of the two spells offset each other exactly at GM inscription, giving you a net +5 gain to the other 4 resists until you die or someone uses ward removal) to bump the suit even more.

What artifacts, talisman, and other basic magic clothes are you wearing for this suit?

Well, i forgot that that set up was for 5 peice suit
aritfacts: frostguard custom jewels (per jewel:
10 magery
10 focus
5 resist spells
faster cast 1
faster casting 3)

so i shoudnt have any problem if i where to lower the properties just a bit?
