What exactly is the penalty for being disturbed while casting spells
I mean, if someone is casting a spell and i disrupt him, for how long is he not being able to cast a spell again?
How does disturbing works?

thanks

It depends on his fcr and whether or not the caster you disrupted is in protection.

6 fast cast recovery (fcr) is the cap...I almost think 1 fcr = 1 millisecond reduction in delay. But don't quote me on that since i'm no UO formula guru.

So say opponent begins casting a bigger, slower spell....you fizzle with a low level....he will most likely be at casting cap and will nearly immediately be able to begin another spell.

However, if a player is in protection, their spells cannot be fizzled, but their casting is set to 0/0 regardless of gear....as well as a penalty on magic resist and physical resistance if I remember correctly.

In pro you only loose you FC, so you would be 0/6 if you are 2/6 to start with. Spellweaving will be 2/6 in protection if you are 4/6 to begin with.

The spellweaving spell thunderstorm will effect FCR, putting a penalty on it. Essence of wind will put a FC penalty on you, which can put you at negative casting speed. A few years ago I remember being raided by about 15 spellweavers and I was winded so bad I froze for 10 seconds to cast a mini heal. I died before I got the spell off..It's been fixed since then but it's still powerful in certain situations.

As for disrupting someone and waiting for them to recast it should be immediate, assuming 6 recovery.. if not then it is scaled off the recovery. The exact times I am not sure of..
