Question About Converting Non Mage Armor to Mage Armor

I went to the mage in Haven and converted some metal and ringmail armor to mage armor so I can have my mana regen like it would if it was leather armor. Everything went smoothly, but the armor doesn't actually say "mage armor" after it was converted. Just to make sure I did it correctly, I tried to convert a piece that I just converted and it rejected it, so I know it is actually converted. Isn't it supposed to say "mage armor" on the armor piece once converted?

To add mage armour, the item in question requires an 'imbue' slot free. It will not add it to armour pieces with 5+ imbues already on it, I suspect this is what you experienced.

On the flip side, if you remove Mage Armour from the likes of a legendary item with multiple mods, it will remove it but will not allow you to convert it back due to there being too many mods already.
