I saved this picture sometime ago (I hope the person who originally posted it does not mind) and I was wondering is this bridge made the same basic way as the spiral and L shaped stairs? Just place the gozas and raise them to walk across?

To the person who made this, if you are still around, this was really cool

Connor Graham has a bridge like that on his house outside Zento on the Pacific shard. It's on the south side of Zento near the fishermen. I think Ashlynn helped him with it, but if he did it following her instructions maybe he still remembers enough of the process to explain it.

It's the same method as far as I can tell, which probably explains the distance between the two stair pieces. You need enough room to place a full stair. So the minimum number of tiles should be 3.

Start with putting 2 rows of 3 teleporters tiles going North-South, side by side.
Place stairs going from South to north (walking up) then delete the 6 teleporter tiles. You'll end up with only the front part of the stairs, making the start of your bridge.
Place the teleporters again and then stairs walking up from north to south (the opposite of the direction you just did).
Then delete the teleporters.
Place a wooden fence then raise gozas between them.

There's a bit more to it than that with the goza mats. Ashynn actually did all the work on my bridge, but I do remember that she had to use wooden tables on each tile with one of the large book stealables on top of it to place the gozas on, then raised each goza from that point.

Thank you :) Though Im not sure which books those are.

Edit: I changed the water tiles to plain tiles in the areas under the bridge you cannot see, but no matter what I try, I cannot get the gozas (or anything else, like books or table) to land on the water tiles. The only books I do not have (and cannot find any for sale so far on Chessy are the damaged books)

Im gonna do some trial and error, but i believe it goes table then the wide scattered damaged books (Cream and tan hued). To get them on the water tiles simply use regular flooring (anything you can walk on) and lock the table and books down. Then go back into customizing and change to water and commit. The table and books should still be there. Place your goza on the books, unlock and remove your table and books and lower goza to desired height- and there ya go :D

Thank you so much, now I just need to try to locate a set of those books here.

If you have a heritage ladder you could just use that instead. Place a goza at your feet while standing on the bridge steps, then raise it up a couple times and place a north facing castle style ladder (assuming you're standing on the south step). Walk up the ladder and take a step and place a goza targetting yourself, then do it one more time. Then lower these suckers, it will take a while. Do the same for the next tile over, and when you need to place one or two more gozas to the north of you place your ladder on the lowered gozas you're using for the bridge and do the same thing.

Well, I got the damaged books. I placed the books on top of a table, then tried to place the goza on top of the books, that was a no go :( :cries: Kept telling me "You cannot build that there." I tried hovering over every part of the books I could, and still nothing.

I lost all my heritage tokens when my house fell a few years ago, so Im kinda scared to go buy a ladder (or token) and have that not work for me either, since I have had people in game tell me that I should be able to place a goza on top of the books on the table.

Not sure what Im doing wrong.

I think you need to stack table, damaged books, table, and then target the top table and the goza lands on the stacked books

ok i think i figured it out - there is prob an easier way to do it but i was able to place a goza - so i did everything to get the table and books locked down with water underneath then i hit the same wall of not being able to place a goza. What I did was i raised the table and books a few times with tool then set a wooden bench down on top of it and with targeting the bench was able to pace the goza - let me know if you have luck with it :)

Oh and make sure its a square goza, the others will not work.

Usually I just use two sets of damaged books since one won't cut it. BTW its very pretty, but if you don't like the borders you can create goza mats that have no borders - they are the last option in the Misc tailoring menu.

That is a cute design. I always have liked the contrast between the darkness of the blue water and the lightness of the sandstone and cream plaster. I built a fountian for a friend once that was contrasted similarly.

Wow. That's really nice.

are the stones in the middle of the pond rubble? If not, how did you get them in the middle?
I have a tough time sometimes with Water features. Ponds are ok, cascading waterfalls are tough for me.

They are not rubble, they are part of the customization. They are located in the same section as the edging around the water.

But you can place rocks and stuff to be in your water by using regular floor, commit, place rocks (I raise them a little, but Im not sure if you have to), then go back into customization, change the flooring to water and then recommit.

No, I don't mind and yes, I am occassionally around.

I'm glad you figured it out. While other methods apparently work, the simplest way I could find to do the bridge was to place small tables between the broken stairs, prior to laying water tiles. After the tables were set and locked down, water (customization) is placed between the stairs and committed. On top of the tables, I use 3 damaged books and target the gaza on the books. The gaza falls to the table. After that it is a matter of raising and lowering gazas to remove the tables and position the gazas to the desired height.

Your bridge is wonderful (as is the entire design). Very nice work!!
