Quest Problem

While escorting Bravehorn for the Compassion gain, the great stag suddenly dissappeared. After searching in vain, I resigned the quest, which was listed in the paperdoll quest list.

I've subsequently waited two days, and still cannot initiate another escort quest. All escort NPCs, including Bravehorn, state that I already have an escort. Short of paging a GM, anyone know a fix?

Paging a GM is the only fix possible.

I had to do it when the other "easy" quest (Lissbet in Ilshenar) did the same thing. It only took about 30 minutes, and the GM was really nice, and asked if I had any other bugs that needed taken care of, while I had him handy.

Escort NPCs will despawn and respawn, if not picked up and delivered within a certain time, and it can happen if you're unlucky enough to pick them up in the last seconds of their life before despawn.
