PvP Questions

Greetings all.
I have been playing UO for about 6 months now, and love the game.
However, I'm getting a bit tired of fighting them titans in Ihlsenar. Therefore, I'd like to try out some PvP combat. But where do I start? Do I just attack a red one? Probably stupid questions, but still. Any advice on where to start?

I'll also use this oppourtunity to ask another question:
Are there any champions or peerless-monsters that are killable by a single warrior?
At this point my template is something like this:
Sword 115
Tactics 110
Parry 95
Healing 95
Res 100
Chivalry 60
Anatomy 100

Now its still debatable but, I have to tell you as a pvper Id never leave the house with out a full 70s suit on. That means consecrate weapon does nothing. Aside from that EoO has no effect on players. With chivalrey what are you left with remove curse and divine fury IMO its a waste of points. If ya have Stm Leech or a handy refresh pot that would fix your stm without causing a loss in your defnce. divine fury lowers your DCI by quite a bit. I think youll need 65%DCI for it to have no effect.

That leaves remove curse. Some PvPers say its a cannot live without. But as for me(and you) resist spells is plenty defence against any curse except for corps skin. I add in an extra 10 fire resist and that makes all the diferance. So that would mean you can chose a new skill to replace chiv for your warrior.

GL theres plenty of options 120s Is my favorite!

join a guild or sit at yew gate for a while to see how things work. I wouldnt advise just coming to fel and attacking reds. You will more than likely get owned.

But isn't that how I'm supposed to learn? I get owned, then learn what I can change to prevent what happened that time from happening again.

A lot of those guys who do PvP tend to be regulars and know each other. Depends on the shard of course. In my experience from sitting at the Yew Moongate and watching, a lot of those guys don't always take kindly to a new person that runs in and just starts swinging.

I tried PvP at one time for several months. It wasn't for me, I never got the hang of it. But during that time I realized that it's more entertaining if you take the time to get to know the other peeps. Met a lot of cool people that were perm-red. Usually I'd get ganked several times and just keep coming back to the same group of people and trying my best while bs'n with em. More often than not I got owned, but I learned a lot from them. couple of them even gave me some starter PvP stuff.

Not sure what it is like on other shards, but on Europa, there is a couple of good 'blue' guilds that will be happy to have you help out, and i'm sure you will get to understand the 'etiquate' of PvP.

But one thing i learnt about 18 months ago, was that joining a 'red' guild, is one of the most intense, and enjoyable experiences, you will ever have playing this game.

I'm to old to snow board, and the football terraces have lost their appeal, so it's about the only intense Adrenaline 'rush' i get nowadays (over than seeing how much Tax i paid on this months wages!).
