pvp questions

Ok hello I am a returning player. I havent played since 3 years I used to be in hax guild and pvped alot. But, now I am retuning with very limited gold and I want to get into pvp again. I was thinking factions could help with the new faction items. I was just curious how hard it is to get tiers to be able to wear the items so I can put a decient suit toghter. Also is there other guilds besides heat out there. I dont like to zerg I like small group high team work over mass numbers. So if I can get some answers it would be helpful thank you.

Plenty of small guilds involved in factions on Atlantic. My advice, spend a little time walking around Luna. You can pretty quickly judge whether someone is on the level - just take a look at their armor. Jot down the names of the guilds they're in and check them out on uo.com.

You might also check out www.hot-guild.com/forum. This is an open forum - not HOT/HEAT specific. It's kind of a hub for Atlantic PvPers from all different guilds.

As far as items are concerned, factions are a great way to get leet armor for cheap. It's really not hard to earn silver. You'll probably die a lot at first, as you try to reacclimatize yourself to gameplay. However, it only takes a few lucky breaks to earn a sizable chunk of silver.

Lastly, since you're just coming back, be sure to have your template critiqued by experienced PvPers. Some players will disagree with this statement, but I'll say it anyway: a good template can make or break you, even more so than good armor.

thanks for the advice, but I am well aware with game mechanics so I believe I know how to build a template well but any ways I guess I can give more info and be open to critiques.

I am planing to go a dexxer to cut down on cost of scrolls and items
I already have all the scrolls and skills for this template I just dont have the armor.

So the template will be

120 swords
90 tactics
90 anatomy
90 healing
120 resist
120 parry
120 bushido

total 750 skill but I can make that up with either rings and braclet or cap jons hat

The items I am looking for in factions is crimson cinture, storm grips, ruin beetle, which are all lvl 4 rank or lower which I know I can achive but I would also like to use primer of arms and totem which are rank 7 which I was wondering how hard it would to be to achive this rank

I am also wondering how hard is it to get the new replicas from tram and ish champ spawns because I would use a couple of these items as well if I can Gladiator's Collar , Lieutenant of the Britannian Royal Guard , Captain John's Hat (if I cant use totem) , Detective boots , and one of the various robes to help me on resists or stats.

I plan to use a ecru ring with ep, dci, and skills the braclet will be dci skills and any other mods

the other items that wont be replicas or faction arties will be arms legs so they will have to have nice resists mr 2 and lmc to compincate for all the missing item mods from useing all these arties replicas

weps will be bokuto and exc ax, and anything else I can find that is very good

the resists with all these are 56, 38, 62, 37, 61 without arms, and legs, and rings and braclet

mods will be only 9 mr.. 45 hci, 31 lmc, with alot of extra stats from the armor, this is without rings and braclet, and weps but included arms and legs lmc and mr regen

I know I will have low dci but that cant be helped with my limited funds. without giving up more mr and lmc which I dont know if I can with the no med

I hope I can find every thing else for a decient price so I can start to pvp

any pointers or advice will be greatly appreciated ( sorry for long post)

Template looks ok. You'll have to use recall scrolls to get around, but that's fine if you can afford it.

Re: replicas, keep in mind that, although they can be repaired, they cannot have their durability restored. This means that, repair 'em enough times, they poof.

Thats fine I under stand I just need to be able to put somthing toghter that is semi cheap and is very good. I can always replace the replicas with another one if there cheap and or easy to farm which I asked. so are they? and is it hard to get to rank 7 in factions?

I am Champion of Evil on 4 toons. I've never gotten a replica. They're not as common as you might think. Even if you do get one, no guarantee it'll be a gladiator's collar. I wouldn't factor drops into your suit.

To finish answering your question (since syrus did not cover the faction rank part) It depends on what faction you join. If I am not mistaken on ATL to get rank 7 in min you need something like 60 points, in com it is closer to like 10, I am not sure about tb but SL would be sort of low as well, like 20 or so. Don't quote me to hard on the numbers since trying to figure out the rank to point ratio is not science...so this is mostly a guess to help you figure out how hard it is and what path you want to follow.

i like 120 wep skill 120 tactics 120 anatomy 125 strength for max damage

that would include 120 bushido of course for max critical hits heh
