That's right.

Magic Reflection now has a "Reflection Pool" Meaning it actually is reflecting spells again.

Potions are twice the weight they used to be, (GO DPers, its your turn to win!)

Magic Arrow/Netherbolt is no more, meaning ALL THOSE GUYS WHO TALKED **** WHILE CASTING THOSE 2 SPELLS ARE GONNA GET PWNED NOW LOLOLOL

In all seriousness, this is a long overdue fix, and I'm excited because it's something new to adapt to. :)

I doubt that poisoners will notice any difference. I can DP on the fly since my melee has poisoning but somehow the pvpers used to be immune to my poison. It was cured bevor the poison message appeared above their heads all while casting spells and talking .. i swear .. those guys have more hands than i do .. poisoning is pointless and i doubt they fixed the scripting in pvp.

Poisoning is a lot like one's genitals.

Sure, you can just run in, bounce it off a few people's faces, then run home crying when you're spent 30 seconds later and nobody's seeing monochrome.

Or, you can slowly build up to something. Start off working your target's PVProgenous zones a little bit first before whipping out your poison. Watch that health bar fall a little then pick back up. Do that a few times, then as the anticipation builds of the next downward thrust of the healthbar, slip your poison in and watch your target gasp with pvpleasure. You don't want to be a one-shot wonder, so let the poison come back out and work a little more before thrusting it back in.

Pretty soon you'll be working up a pretty good tempo, that health bar's going up and down, and up and down, the poison's going in and out, and in and out, and your avatars are twisting together in writhing torment, until finally, as the cries of "OMG! OMG! NOOB! NOOB! NOOOOOOOOOB!" reach a rushing crescendo of green and gray, your poison plunges deep into their healthbar one final time..... and they lay there, in the dirt, breathless and spent.... Only a faint "OoOooo" comes from their parted lips....

This is pretty accurate until the part about killing them..

Everything would go as ^^, until they run out of Cure Pots, they would then, Vanish, Tell you in Chat that you are a newb who relys on "Gimp" Tactics (While they resupply on the 50 No skill/easy mode cure pots they just blew through) and will refuse to fight you unless they can use Insta-No skill cures against you, because they are..

'More skilled players who don't need gimp tactics' They say, as a Full keg of cure pots are burnt though without any actual player skill involved in the curing.

That is all.

this

One of the first skills I trained on siege was poisoning (I was unaware at the time that it had been changed to use a special, and you could no longer poison weapons other than kryss/dagger)

I found it to be utterly useless, I burned through every charge on my weapon and not one of them stuck long enough to either do damage or interrupt heals, the second it hits..insta-chug.

Even with the new potion weights you'd need to burn through a stack of 30 daggers before they run out of pots to keep instant cureing.

As for the lumberjacking bonus, check my post here before running out to grind 100 skill, the damage bonus is so minor you'd be better off spending the 100 points elsewhere.
http://vboards.stratics.com/1870667-post9.html

Basically to a 70 suit the damage bonus, which requires a full 100 points, adds 6 damage on 5% of hits using an ornate axe with 100 DI items, 150 strength, 120 tact + 120 anat, and every other buff possible.

Personally I think poisoning is very effective.. its just that players will refuse to fight you unless they can counter it with No Skill / Instant Use Items.

Aka, I can Burn through 100 poison charges fighting you,but the Second you actually have to use skill to cure them(Out of Cure Pots), I wont be seeing you again.

Kinda funny Dante...

When you actually have 66 Alchy...50 enhance pots in your jewls and use a one handed weapon I would say pots are part of your template. (like regs)

If we look at the temps you have played the last few times we fought...you ran off screen to cast pixies (over and over)..next temp...all kill with a DM...please come down for on high.

merry christmas!

120 heal anat resist fence tact gm nox. Is the first template i really pvped hard core in.

Dagger 50 lightning 50 hld 50 hla and hci/ dci and a fork 50 fireball 50hld 10 ssi and hci/dci.

With the right stat build this template is by far very usable in pvp.

Im excited to see the lj bonus as well as the magic reflect tho.
