Similar to Archers, but high end gargoyle gear is harder to come by than human/elf. Gargoyles get more of a bonus to their weapons since they don't require balanced, but you can't enhance with ash for the extra +10 ssi. You also can't imbue velocity directly onto throwing weapons , so it can take quite a bit more work with Reforging to get the weapons you want depending on how picky you are. (100% Elemental + Velocity, etc etc etc)

Even with really great gargoyle gear, you will always be at a disadvantage to the best PVPers due to the extra equipment slots humans/elves have. And while you don't need balanced on your weapons if you intend to chug pots on a garg, archers have a greater number of different bows with different specials they can choose from. Overall, a PVP template on a thrower is a bit more limited in what you can do compared to an archer. That's not to say someone couldn't master it and still pwn noobs at Yew gate, but probably not the wisest route to go unless you're very familiar with PVP mechanics already.

You might laugh. Add tinkering to your template. Abuse I mean use the New KoTL Automations, before the Devs Nerf them.

You get a 4 slot pet with 750 to 850 hp. It charges mages and archers. It disarms fairly well. It has a stunning blow. Then every once in awhile it doese some spike damage.

Just hook it to a petball of summoning. They bond after you build them. Only cost 75 ingots to res.

Isnt HCI/DCI/Damage penalties still exist for Gargoles?
And... +5Damage Modifier from all quivers is Archers-only?

gargs basically get to use a stronger weapon, their moving shots will do slightly less damage, but their mortal shots can be at max speed (archer mortal shot max speed is only 1.5)

In geneneral, garg suits usually have slightly lower stats, but it can be worth it for the better burst damage.

if youd like to see an effective way to set up a garg i have a real nice thrower suit available.

This is an old thread but is the information still accurate? Going to make a thrower for pvp. Do i need parry without a shield to negate any negative hit chance?

I do not quite follow. You can't equip a shield with throwing otherwise you get a huge hit chance penalty. You can't combine bushido, parrying and throwing because you cannot parry with any throwing weapons. The only reason to have parry on your thrower is to get the lower mana cost reduction for the special moves or to equip a 1 hander and shield and cast mystic weapon (can't use weapon special moves though).
