Hiyas everyone. I've finally got the Felucca arena set up and decorated, ready for this friday's tournament, the first PVPc in FEL!!! This means all you murdering scum are welcome to come show all those blue trammies what PVP is all about. I've done my best to ensure the crowd won't get any splatter on their pretty coats, but I must say this: Come at your own risk! I said I'd do it, and I have, now it's time to see how well it works. Awaiting response from this week's sponsor, The tourny will be this friday night at 9:00 Eastern, with gates starting at 8:30 at West Brit Bank in Tram, and one in Buc's Den in Fel. Here's some pics of the Arena, I'm open for suggestions.

This is the main hall, where the gates will come from. The house will be public, and the gater will be inside the house, sending gates to the locations.


This is the pit area. I had to make the pit a little small to accomidate the spectators, and keep them from getting hit from area of effect spells, and to point out that GM running ain't a skill. The spike posts are there for obstacles.

I love the idea but it'll probably be swamped by bc...might even be a good idea to have some kind of registration? I dunno...I can see BC, XV, TDR, UOD, or some other guild trying to grief it. Nice idea though.

I'm just gonna have to see, won't I? If they grief it, they grief it. I can't make the house public, then ban everyone with a tag I think might cause trouble. The event is open to EVERYONE, even the griefers. Fact is, it's fel. It can happen. So, I say again, come at your own risk. Don't bring anything you might not want to lose. In fact, for spectators, I'd advise that you come nekked. Come in a robe, uninsured, so they don't get "paid" for it, unless you want to join in the fight... But you are warned, they can kill you. And if they kill me and everyone that's friended, then we can't ban them. So, we'll just have to see. I'm willing to give it a shot. And like I said, I'm open for any advice on preventative measures. IAMTHEWHITERABBIT has given me some hints, thanks.

I can't speak for UOD, but myself, I don't see many UOD ruining a cool concept. I can see myself playing outside the doors with those who want to be spoil sports.

I will talk to my guildies and hopefully pass this along...

I'm with you there, if someone wants to come and try and grief it, I'm going after them... I'll even ignore my normal 'first target' list for them!

Thanks to both of you, I appreciate the consideration, I just hope it doesn't turn into a PVP fest outside, at lease not until AFTER the event, hehe. Make sure both of you come in and participate, hehe. It will go on as planned, and hopefully everyone can appreciate what we're trying to do.

On that note, I'm working on new rules based on the fel aspect of this event, as far as behavior. Any suggestions will help, and I'll post revised rules closer to the event. Thanks all!

Thinkin about archers as a class, what ya think? That would be 4 classes, dexers, archers, mages and tank mages... Also, I don't think we'll be doin the battle royale anymore, cause all they gotta do it wither-wither-wither... How bout a battle of champs instead?

The battle of champs should be cool; the top of each class/catagory battle it out for the top slot.

And as for the battle royal, I'm sure you'd get a decent share of necros doing thier wither thing, but I'm also sure once that started they'd be prime targets for everyone that wasnt a necro. Plus theres a way to deal with them when they like to get all nice and grouped up together...

Might want to move the gating from Buc's Den in Fel since there is no guardzone. The gater will just be killed over and over. should have the gater at yew gate in the guardzone.

Griefing died with the birth of trammel. In fact, real griefing died when Ultima Online ceased to be the only option for gamers who wished to interact with others via a video game on the internet!

Long live anarchy on video games! Long live a place for the rest of us who dearly reflect upon the age of online gaming where no one was safe from PvP and being griefed! That's what made it a challenge! That's what separated the boys from the men, the clever from the slow-minded! WOOT.

Well, being at many duels that BC would jump in and "help out" and also at tournaments with them in Fel, I can honestly say that the original members of BC followed the rules the same as anyone else and everyone had a great time. Hopefully the new generation of BC will follow their predecessors' lead.

Although, my favorite event was being on Wrong roof with nearly every Fel player to watch a duel and KNOWING at any moment it would become a blood-bath. I laughed incredibly hard until I couldn't see the screen for the tears and thought I would pee in my chair. Good times that I miss terribly.

Yeah, I can see it now,..all the naked people with 0 resists and someone says "Hi" with the "h" key as a macro for wither lmao! Maybe there should be a reser outside for the accidental deaths.

Actually, I'm putting a disclaimer into my pre-game speach that states I will ban people for doing that, no excuses, no other warnings. Put that spellbook in bag!
