Any dismount archers/mages PVPing with Bane Dragons?

Interested in your feedback. Dragon slayer is a serious issue to their survivability but their dmg output is crazy against players between the nukes and poison.

Interested in your feedback. Dragon slayer is a serious issue to their survivability but their dmg output is crazy against players between the nukes and poison.

Using one on my tamer mage and it works great. In fact its better than dreadmares in many ways.

1. Their melee attack can DP.

2. Their breathe attack, while doing approximately 2/3 of the firebreathe dmg of the dreadmare, hits instantly (no 3 second delay like the fire breathe). And since its poison, it hits just as hard against people with baddie suits. And with double pot weight which indirectly made poison attacks more valuable.

3. Because they are a current spawn most of these using in PvP has a lot better stats than the typical dreadmares.

4. They are FREE!!! Makes xsharding tamer varients PvPers much much easier.

The bad thing about them is as you mentioned... dragon slayers wielders can kill it in just a few hits. Very bad while being ganked and be prepared that it will die a lot...

thanks for the info war. I had my untrained bane dragon duel a friend's completely trained dread mare, he's got 800+ or whatever kills as a murderer on his dismounter and it was even for the first half of the fight then the bane dragon just destroyed it. it was very impressive and gave me ideas. and i like the poison attack over fireball too.

Bane dragons have much better dps than a dread warhorse, but the whole issue of survivability is critical to me because I'm pretty obsessive about keeping them fully trained. The upshot is that I simply don't use them in pvp anymore. That and my rune beetle will kick the ass of either of them to the curb and back again...

Not to high jack or anything, But can you still tame these ? I have been out of game for a while just recently got back (past month or so)

They are still spawning. You can find them anywhere the Bane are spawning. So at any invasion, or at Spirituality gate in Ilshenar.

They are still spawning at slasher, and if you have good faction with bane the hounds won't attack. So just farm bane faction before you try to get a bane drag... or lead the hellhounds off.
