So the newest balancing idea has to do with potions making someone temporarily "immune" to the potion. In my opinion, potions don't need to be balanced more than greater dragons or apples. Here are a few of my opinions on balancing 'fixes'.
1. Go ahead and make EP based on alchemy.
2. Fix the Maul. It has the same specs as a diamond mace but is slower and less damage.
3. Don't 'fix' things that everone does, because by definition it isn't unbalanced.
4. Greater dragons can two or three hit kill almost anyone. This is much more imbalanced than potions or apples.
5. Apples have made necro templates very weak in open field and have made mortal very weak also. They are far more imbalanced than potions.
